Automakers love to use one anothers platforms for cost saving. What is the worst example Oppo can think of?

I can’t really decide wether the Aston Martin Cygnet is the best or the worst:

The answer will always be: Cimmaron.

The Daewoo Lacetti, which was sold as a GM in Europe, then sold to Suzuki in America meaning that you can’t get a new ECU for it or get your Takata airbags recalled.

Isuzu was really good at hooring out it’s products. This is exactly what came to my mind as well.

I’ll just leave this here.

On one hand, it’s the coolest and most luxurious Scion iQ money could buy. And it has a cool exhaust note on top of it.
On the other hand, it’s probably the worst Aston Martin you could buy new.
So your answer is, yes.

Easy:
The ‘Rover’ Montego. When British Leyland was going through its death-throes, the Austin brand was rolled up into the Rover brand and so the thoroughly dreadful Austin Montego and Maestro were simply rebadged as Rovers. They were so ashamed of them, though, that although they had the Rover badge on the front, they didn’t say Rover on the back and weren’t promoted as Rovers.
When even the manufacturer doesn’t bother taking the rebadge seriously, we have a winner.
More recently, the ‘Dodge’ version of the Fiat Doblo is pretty egregious, although that’s mainly because it loses the Doblo’s happy face.
This is rather smart, IMO, for a grinning loon:
This is tragic:

This will always be the answer to worst rebadge ever. The Cadillac Cavalier. The 1980’s Cadillac Cavalier. Seriously, what were they thinking. It was a 1980’s Cavalier. Even new the 1980’s Cavalier wasn’t a good car. Putting soft leather seats in it wasn’t going to make it any better.

The Opel Corsa rebadged as the GM “Chevy.” Really imaginative name and exciting car.
Mexicans refer to this car as a “Shoe.” That’s how dynamic and exciting it is.

I mean, it kind of has to the be Trailblazer doesn’t it? They made like 9 of them!

It was put on sale before it was ready, which is never a good thing. Not going to say it was ever going to be anything special, but the fact that the later models were so much better lead me to think that it would have at least been forgotten instead of hated.
Same story on the Fiero.

It can lose the Subaru grille anytime, too. Doesn't work.

Which doesn't make it "worst", it makes it "most overused".

I think I said this on the FP when it was announced that they’d stop making the Cygnet, but I foresee like 2045, there’ll be a post by Otto Torchinsky:
“That time Aston Martin made a Subcompact”
And all future Jalops will swoon all over its weirdness.

No doubt! I like it over the standard Toyota iQ. I know it exists for little reason, but I still like it. The OG iQ was fugly, this looks pretty nice.

Its either the best example of the worst rebadging, or the worst example of the best rebadging.

Worst because its soooooooooooo damn lazy. “Hey, why don’t we try and sell a ton of these things, just change the front end and charge more for the Brand.”
